G42 and Cerebras Partner to Deploy 8 Exaflops of Compute in India

G42's partnership with Cerebras to deploy 8 exaflops of computing power in India marks a significant advancement in the nation's AI capabilities. This initiative, aligned with the India AI Impact Summit, underscores the growing importance of sovereign AI infrastructure for national competitiveness. The supercomputer system, hosted within India, will adhere to local data residency, security, and compliance regulations, ensuring data sovereignty. This project aims to empower educational institutions, government entities, and small and medium enterprises with the necessary computing resources for AI applications.

Furthermore, the summit witnessed substantial investment pledges from both Indian and international firms. Adani committed $100 billion to establish up to 5 gigawatts of data-center capacity by 2035, while Reliance announced a $110 billion investment over the next seven years for gigawatt-scale data centers. U.S. technology giants, including Amazon, Google, and Microsoft, have already allocated approximately $70 billion to expand AI and cloud infrastructure in the country. These investments collectively signify a robust commitment to India's AI ecosystem.
